Chad Cornell teaches a specific kind of meditation that is a culmination of many years of study with various mediation / mindfulness teachers of different backgrounds. He especially appreciates the connection between Western physiology and Yogic sciences, along with the emerging resonance between modern science and many ancient wisdom traditions.
Though Chad is well versed in the use of entheogenic plants and has deeply studied many of the worlds spiritual traditions he believes that meditation can be simple. effective, and enjoyable for virtually everyone without any need to join or leave any specific religion or world view per se. This unique style of meditation, known as the Jyoti - Heart Space Meditation, is especially designed to provide deep healing experiences for virtually anyone who engages in the process. Though Jyoti is simply good for anyone, it has greatly supported those suffering from mental illness and psychedelic induced psychosis as well as those in addiction and trauma recovery.
This is not simply "a calm your mind and body" meditation approach - it is also a method of breaking through and transforming inner personal, collective, and ancestral patterns that are not serving us at this time. One could think of the Jyoti method as similar to tuning an instrument, as there are many reasons we can get out of alignment in this modern world. Any chance to realign ourselves can prove to be of great benefit - especially one as time tested and well refined as the Jyoti "heart-space" meditation.
