Psyllium is mucilaginous and swells up when introduced to water. It is often used in cooking and can be added to breads, tortillas, bagels, and desserts as a healthful ingredient. Psyllium husk is demulcent and helps to provide support for the digestive track. Our psyllium powder is ground from Plantago ovata husks and can be used in cooking as a thickening agent. Psyllium husk powder can also be employed as an ingredient in skin care creations.
