The correct natural remedies, with the guidance of a caring and competent practitioner can facilitate healing on many levels. Methods of natural healing have been in use for thousands of years; herbal medicine, nutrition, acupuncture, meditation, and many others. If such methods of healing did not work, they would simply no longer be sought in our community. Quite the contrary, holistic healing modalities are increasingly in demand by all demographics.

Nature, of which we are but a part, is inclined to seek balance, and balance is health. If one is willing to embark on the healing journey, all things are possible. Our goal, at Hollow Reed Holistic, is to ensure the best possible path for our clients and customers. Though we are but one section of healthcare in the community, we are devoted to fulfilling our role. We look forward to the day when natural remedies and healing are supported by the greater establishment, and when the essential freedom to choose one's own healing path becomes a reality for all.

Chad is a fourth generation Manitoban who holds a passion for the role of natural healing and the holistic model. He is a graduate of the Wild Rose College of Natural Healing in Calgary, Alberta. Wild Rose, founded by Dr. Terry Willard, is one of the worlds leading natural healing colleges.

After spending many years on Canada’s West Coast, Chad now lives in Winnipeg where he operates the apothecary and natural medicine center Hollow Reed Holistic. Chad has been invited for the past 3 years to lecture as a part of the Integrative Medicine Program at the U of M Health Sciences Center Campus. He believes that by studying some common themes in various traditional healing styles, and interweaving them with innovative modern research, we are embarking on an exciting and insightful era of natural and integrative medicine.

Chad’s goal is to provide healing and educational programs that awaken, inspire, and empower. His mission as an Herbalist is to renew our inherent connection to the natural world that surrounds us, and the healing power within us all.

Nancy Hall III dances to her own rhythm. An artist in the medium of olfactory delights and colorful light beams, her creations are simple, but profound, fun and ‘for real’. Having studied aromatherapy for over a decade, she is committed to community unity and healing thru the use of plant spirit medicine and lifestyle education. Her happiest are in moments in the garden and the woods, with the winged and flowered ones. She is available for one to one counsel in the comfort of her studio at the St. Norbert Arts Centre.

Chris has been apprentice to Chad Cornell, M.H., since January 2007.  In addition to assisting with the management of Hollow Reed Holistic, she is a teacher trained in Biology and Physical and Health Education.  Her journey as a student of the healing arts began in 1987 when she worked in a clinic run by a naturopath, traditional Chinese doctor and chiropractor.  Since then she has done healing work with several medicine men and women and considers this to be her life’s passion.
